CBP Reviewing Supreme Court Decision on IEEPA Tariffs to Develop Guidance

Customs and Border Protection sent a notice to the trade late Friday evening, Feb. 20, stating that it is reviewing the Supreme Court decision regarding the president’s use of the IEEPA tariffs.

“CBP is working with other government agencies to fully examine the implications of the SCOTUS decision,” the agency said in a CSMS. “CBP will provide additional information and technical guidance for ACE filers as soon as it becomes available.”

Questions regarding this message from the agency may be directed to CBP’s Office of Trade Relations at traderelations@cbp.dhs.gov

Our team will continue to monitor the Trump administration's response to the Supreme Court decision striking down the IEEPA tariffs and provide updates, as well as CBP guidance, as soon as available.
